Introduction

myNutratek™ was developed as a passionate response to the health crisis children, teens and adults are facing in our country, state and own communities. Our Web-based platform addresses this crisis by providing a variety of dynamic, integrated, technology-driven tools that encourage users of all ages to take personal responsibility for their health.

myNutratek™ embraces the community by providing a sustainable environment that records individual health behaviors, reports outcomes and rewards users with incentives and measurable results. These powerful tools are combined to create a phenomenal interactive solution that is exciting and fun for both kids and adults. myNutratek™ is currently being offered at no cost to school districts through the generous contributions of sponsors who support myNutratek™ and its vision to foster educational opportunities which support healthy behaviors and reduce financial burdens associated with health care costs.

Each of the myNutratek™ components support recommendations focused on consumption of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fat-free or low-fat dairy and participation in daily physical activity. Specific topic areas featuredon myNutratek™ are nutrition, physical activity, sleep and dental care. The sections of myNutratek™ include:

myHealth

Offers two exciting components called myCalories and myJournals. In myCalories you can determine how many calories you need personally each day. This information can be balanced with input into myJournals where you can track your BMI (Body Mass Index), food and beverage intake, physical activity, sleep and dental care or play in a virtual school cafeteria that can be customized for participating school districts. The virtual cafeteria highlights nutritional information for foods and beverages being served in the cafeteria, the connections to USDA's MyPlate, and food allergy alerts. These educational tools support grade level content expectations for health.

myReports

Takes all of the information you put into myHealth and captures it in fun graphs and charts in myData. For health care providers, these reports are aligned with data requirements for HEDIS and NCQA. You can also track the amount of time you spend on each section of myNutratek™ under myReport Card.

myPlayground

myPlayground Provides kids of all ages with an opportunity to spend their time learning and playing games at the same time. The featured games are dynamic and appeal to even the savviest game enthusiasts.

myQuizzes

Challenges students to test their health knowledge by taking a 10-question age-appropriate quiz that reinforces state health education objectives. Answers and detailed explanations are revealed instantly and can be printed out.

myCookbooks

Takes standard recipes and healthy snack ideas to a whole new virtual level. The cookbook library will continue to grow and can be used in a variety of educational settings in schools, homes and throughout a community. Selections include recipes for consumers who want to eat healthier or have special dietary needs.

myDistrict

Allows participating school districts to be personally connected with myNutratek™ by incorporating customized information and graphics selected by the school district. A few of the features being integrated by districts are electronic forms, hot links to approved sites, important messages and PTA/PTO highlights.

mySources

Gives you the power to communicate and connect on health issues in a safe environment. It offers a social networking forum in myCommunity where you can post friendly health challenges within a school, district or community or just find out what your friends are doing to stay healthy. In myInfo 411 you will find quick links to assessment tools, health resources, key partners, and up-to-date news articles.
